DJ Jester – The Filipino Fist

Native Texan Mikey Pendon maintains an unlikely double life: professional flight attendant and internationally recognized dj, DJ Jester the Filipino Fist. His reputation as a dynamic, genre-bending artist led to a touring spot as the official DJ for the hip-hop group Grand Buffet and a coveted invitation from Kid Koala to join the legendary Short Attention Span Theater tour. Jester’s versatility is evident in the broad range of artists he has shared stages and collaborated with, including MGMT, Of Montreal, Joe Jack Talcum of the Dead Milkmen, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Money Mark of the Beastie Boys, and Third Eye Blind. His work even reached the ears of the Queen of Country herself, Dolly Parton, who chose Jester’s unique reworking of “Jolene” for a Netflix promotional spot. Following the pandemic, Jester’s output only accelerated. Notable 2023 milestones include a Best DJ nomination in the Austin Chronicle Music Awards, opening for William Shatner’s keynote address at SXSW, and being invited to New York to DJ the opening for Wes Anderson’s ASTEROID CITY and Weird Al’s WEIRD: THE AL YANKOVIC STORY. He continues to perform at major events like the US’s largest genre film festival, Fantastic Fest, and maintains an international presence, with gigs in Canada and Mexico in 2024. His recent mix releases include the post-pandemic MADE IN USA (with DJ Marz), the kidfriendly DJ JESTER IS FOR THE CHILDREN, and 2025’s LIVE AT THE WHITE RABBIT.
